Having a well-rounded and complete training plan to make sure you are not getting injured and then having to stop participating in the activity, whether for a short time or extended, is hard to fit into your daily life. Especially if you’re not an elite athlete who has a team of people creating your training plans and supporting you with recovery routines and methods to make sure you're getting enough of everything your body needs, from stress recovery to energy management (sleep, active rest, nutrition).
If your daily training plan is all about getting stronger and/or faster at your sport, hitting pr’s in your training, or spending as much time as possible doing the things you love (gardening, hiking, quilting, etc.) - then the Spears Strong Foundation Program is what you’ve been missing.
The daily Morning Warmup will not only get you ready to take on the day, but it will also release the tension that your body habitually holds onto from the activities you love doing the most. This will give you the ability to start your day without your back, knee, neck or any other chronic spot to be the focus of your energy. You’ll have more time to focus on what makes you great.
If your job is repetitive and/or confines you to one place, there’s a good chance a stress or achy muscle or joint gets your attention daily. The 6-ish Minute Workout session is designed to break up these achy spots and boost your metabolism, getting not just your body using more energy but your brain will be lit up and sharper to tackle the challenges of your profession.
The ReCharge session can be your go to as a warm-up for what you're passionate about, running, CrossFit, weight lifting, gardening, tennis, soccer or any other ball sport. We list the movements so you can take them with you and have a 10-minute warm-up that not only gets your heart ready, but also connective tissue, stabilizing muscles and your prime movers ready for action. The ReCharge movements are specifically designed to get your nervous system reactivated with your musculoskeletal system, which you will find will blast you through any plateau you’ve currently been stuck on.
The Mode Switch can be used two-fold: 1. cool-down after you’re done with the activities you're passionate about. 2. as an opportunity to let stress and work go on the days you are not pursuing any other activities. Great routine after a day of travel, whether that be air or ground.
And as you know, if your sleep suffers so does your performance, all around. Not just with athletic routines, but everything else too. Including professional and interpersonal performance. It’s harder to get work done and easier to be annoyed by those around us. BedTime Unwind is designed to give you a consistent routine before bed to maximize your time in bed, in every way. Why is it called Foundation? Because it is the base level of what we all need to take care of ourselves. This is your “self-care.” If you don’t exercise, the Foundation Program is all you need. If you do exercise (running, cycling, playing tennis, yoga, hiking, cross-fit, etc …) you need this too. It will help you recover from your sport or workout and it will keep you from developing repetitive motion injuries.
