Grounding at Cottonwood Beach

  • Cottonwood Beach S Index St at S 32nd St. Washougal (map)

Stick your toes in the sand and feel the power of grounding.
*Meet at the picnic area before you head down to the beach*

Dig your toes into the sand and see how good taking some time to connect to earth can feel. We will do a little movement to start and then take 20 minutes to be in silence together, connecting with the earth. Feel free to use this time to do your breathing (Wim Hof, Box Breathing, Altitude Training, 5 in 5 out ... ) or just practice being in the moment. We'll guide you at the beginning and set a timer so we all reserve this time to just be here and now.

After our 20 minutes you're free to socialize, go for a walk or run or continue grounding!

What to Expect

Field Trips will start with a Trainer-led Warm-Up at 8:30 am PT and will be self-guided unless otherwise noted. We will send specific details of the event closer to the date. Feel free to bring a plus one: spouse, friend, child. No dogs, please. We suggest getting to the location early if you want to chat and catch up with fellow Spears Strongers. Jonathan and Shelby will be there at least 20 minutes before the warmup begins.

*Please practice social distancing and we suggest bringing a mask in case you can't distance.Times during this pandemic are awkward for group gatherings and we feel that awkwardness too so we’ll be reaching out for your feedback in order to keep these Field Trips fun and safe for all!

Virtual Field Trips: If you don’t live in the Camas/Washougal area, if you’re not ready for in-person group events or if your schedule is busy on Field Trip Day, use the type of field trip and distance to do it on your own, and share your photos/videos with us! Use Mode Switch Boost for your Warm-Up and Mode Switch Decompress as your Cool-Down.
